Why It Matters:
Drone814 (ELSa-M3) is a scalable, collaborative model that enables communities to integrate cutting-edge drone technologies into core public functions and workforce development. This initiative positions southwestern Pennsylvania at the forefront of innovation in drone operations, education, and emergency preparedness, laying the groundwork for a lasting regional impact. This phase represents the first of many in the state, provided proof-of-concept standards are met under the U.S. Department of Transportation Smart Grant.
