Media Advisory: Leaders vital to the aviation ecosystems take center stage at the Aerium Summit

A strong agenda has been set with solutions for students, administrators and industry in mind

May 29, 2023 (Johnstown, PA.) Aerium, a nonprofit formed to foster collaboration among vital private and public stakeholders to address the next generation needs of the aviation and aerospace industry, will begin its inaugural three-day Summit on Tuesday, May 30th. The conference and tradeshow will bring together students, education officials, innovators, lawmakers, and representatives of the defense and armed forces community to discuss opportunities for students, best educational practices, and addressing massive projected shortages for pilots, technicians and uncrewed aircraft systems operators.

Over 300 attendees representing all areas of the Commonwealth and neighboring states will get a chance to participate in 22 sessions, interact with the event’s 40 exhibitors, and students will get several opportunities to obtain hands-on experience in Aerium’s “Immersive Lab”. 

  • Featured speakers include: Patrick J. Murphy, Congressman and former Undersecretary of the Army; Colonel Timothy Zerbe, Pennsylvania National Guard, Gabe Monzo; President of the Aviation Council of Pennsylvania; Shari Williams of Philly Drone Soccer; Steven Jones, Deputy Administrator of the Eastern Region for the FAA; and, John Duesler, President of the Pennsylvania Drone Association.
